Stage 6: Disability Awareness Session for Years 11 & 12
Stage 6 (Years 11–12)
Stage 6 sessions engage senior students in mature, real-world conversations about disability, independence, advocacy, and societal responsibility.
Students explore ethical considerations, policy perspectives, lived experience, and the intersection between disability, identity, and opportunity. This stage encourages students to move beyond awareness into informed allyship and leadership, fostering critical reflection on how systems and attitudes influence inclusion.
The program aligns with senior curriculum outcomes across PDHPE, Community and Family Studies, Legal Studies, Society and Culture, and the NSW General Capabilities including Ethical Understanding, Personal and Social Capability, Critical and Creative Thinking, and Intercultural Understanding
After participating in Step Up or Roll On
Students will be able to:
